ある程度受かる（移籍する）目処が立ったからトライアウト受けるんだと思うけど…

19. Ryoichi Maeda (Jubilo Iwata):

One of the best strikers in Japan’s football league, West Ham have reportedly offered a transfer deal for the 30 year old.
Maeda is set to become free agent after his current two-year contract with Jubilo expires and the J-League club is expected to let Maeda leave in January.

West Ham to trial Japanese striker Maeda

The Sunday Times reports that West Ham are set to trial Japanese striker Ryoichi Maeda after all.

According to Karen Brady, Maeda's manager had initially refused a trial saying the player was too good to have to prove himself. However 30 year-old Maeda is known to be keen to test himself with a move abroad and must have had a change of heart. He currently plays for the Japanese national team and for Jubilo Iwata in Division1 of the J League, where he has twice won the golden boot.

The trial is due to take place this week and with a big question mark still hanging over the future of Allardyce's top target Jordan Rhodes, Maeda could be a real possibility.

WHU have apparently solved the work permit issues that came
with Maeda and have taken him on trial. The striker scored 14 goals
last season but is now a free agent after turning a new contract down.
He has had a host of Japanese clubs after him but the Hammers have
beaten them to it.
